Animal’s artists weave creativity with technology to craft content for the advertising, film, TV, and music industries.
This time last year, we were busy getting into mischief with our friends at American Eagle
Outfitters. Together, we produced a “dogumentary” announcing American Eagle’s new fashion
line for dogs, appropriately called “American Beagle”. The campaign was an elaborate April
Fools prank, but it grew so popular that American Eagle decided to make the doggy clothing line
Animal’s Michael Killen directed real American Eagle employees and their dogs for the spot.
The end result was a laugh-out-loud comedic authenticity that struck a chord with online
viewers. Encouraged by countless shares and likes, the brand decided to do the line for real.
You can read about the clothing line inspired by our spoof-spot in USA Today, InStyle, LA Times,
BuzzFeed, Elle, and Salon. First, make sure to enjoy the dogumentary along with an interview
with Michael Killen at SourceECreative. Once the line was a reality, we also created a fifteensecond spot with American Eagle, which now enjoys over 700,000 YouTube views. Go TeamAnimal!
