Animal’s artists weave creativity with technology to craft content for the advertising, film, TV, and music industries.
This time last year, we were busy getting into mischief with our friends at American Eagle
Outfitters. Together, we produced a “dogumentary” announcing American Eagle’s new fashion
line for dogs, appropriately called “American Beagle”. The campaign was an elaborate April
Fools prank, but it grew so popular that American Eagle decided to make the doggy clothing line
Here at Animal, we just premiered our third Vimeo Staff Pick and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Elgin Park tells the story of charming, reclusive artist Michael Paul Smith. Smith’s fantastical town Elgin Park – composed entirely of miniatures – delighted audiences worldwide when his photo series went viral. For the first time, the documentary Elgin Park dives into Smith’s life and the dark inspiration behind his work.
Our team of Animals spent two weeks in Park City, Utah for the premiere of Blood Brother at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival. And guess what, they didn't come home empty handed.
Over the past three years, the Animals have been working on our first full-length documentary, Blood Brother. Blood Brother is the story of a group of children infected with HIV and Rocky Braat, a disenchanted young American that met the children while drifting through India.
Blood Brother is the story of a group of children infected with HIV and Rocky Braat, a disenchanted young American that met the children while drifting through India. We are pleased to announce that the film, directed by Steve Hoover, will premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival! It will be screened among 15 others in the U.S. Documentary Competition. We couldn’t be more excited about our story being supported by the Sundance Institute. Let’s just say there were some sabered champagne bottles when we found out the good news.
“We are incredibly honored to premiere Blood Brother at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival! Thank you everyone for your support and belief in this film.” -Danny Yourd, Producer
We've been so busy the past year, it's nice to see some of our blood sweat and tears in the form of a flashy little reel. We like it. You will too.
Samples include our directoral work, visual effects & animation, color, finishing and of course, our trademark talking animals.
Almost everything in the reel lives on the site, so stay around for awhile and get to know us.
So a lot has happened over the last 6 months. The biggest change is that Animal has moved. It was bittersweet, but needless to say, we made the new office home. We are on the 11th floor a block away from our old office. It may be a little larger than the previous office, but we quickly filled it up. Below is a picture of our view from one of our many windows. We welcome you to stop by and get a tour!
We had a just a little bit of clutter to move from our old office to our new office roughly 1 block down the street
In order to feel at home, we had a short list of renovations that needed to take place.
But now, we feel at home. Please email us and come to visit us at our new office space!
We recently created a effect shot breakout for one of our videos for Owl City. This shows a shot we filmed at the Fox backlot in LA last summer and the 3D, effects and layers of comping that went into creating this scene. Click read more to watch the video!
